Our Mission

Founded in 2018, Syntempo is the new name of the HK Dalcroze Centre. It’s aim is to apply Dalcroze and Laban’s methodology into teaching and promote creative music and movement education. 

We offer workshops and classes in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and work with various organisations, including the HK APA, Baptist University, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Academy, Scienly School and Red forest school. 

SynTempo aims to provide a music education to all ages, including children and adults. Through holistic learning, students will learn to play for intrinsic expression, understand musical language and develop their ability for improvisation. 

Our research of the synergy between music and movement is used to create art work and performances, foster artistic development and facilitate cultural communication and exchange.
