Choreography

Music, Shape and Movement- Logical or not Premiere on 17 April 2016 ( Theme: artist's struggle in findiong self relisation in HK) Choreogrtaphy created around relationship between music and movement. I. Me and my city 1. Skyline 2. Something taking over 3. Bystander 4. Energy of the city II.
This piece of Choreography is created around the relationship between music and movement. The first part ( including clip one and the beginning of clip 2) is created with structural improvisation life on stage. It has four short interludes. The second part of the dance is set to music by Ernst von Dohnanyi, performed life with the dance on stage. The dance is expressing artist's struggle to find oneself in Hong Kong. Part I Me and my city: 1. Skyline 2. something taking over 3. bystander 4. Energy of the city Part II Serenade for String trio op.10 Ernst von Dohnanyi: 1. Rondo Allegro Vivace 2. Romanza Adagio non troppo, quasi andante Choreographer; Sui Ming Chu Dancers: Mika Tsuchiya, Tiff Chan, Soraya Chau Musicians: Victoria trio- Yuko Saito, Graham Jones, Rosie Mills Goh Flutist;: Linda Tong Pianist; Sui Ming Chu
